THE YEAR 2020 marks the 25th anniversary of FORTE'S "Concerto for Soprano Saxophone and Band" (1995). The composition has been widely performed in the U.S. and Europe by such ensembles as "The President's Own" U.S. Marine Band (Irvin Peterson, saxophone soloist and Col. (Ret.) Timothy W. Foley, Commander/ Conductor) and the Nationaal Jeugd Harmonie Orkest, The Netherlands (Linda Arnoldus, saxophone soloist and Alex Schillings, Conductor). The latter has also recorded the work. THE COMPOSER HAS NOW CRAFTED THREE EDITIONS OF THE PIECE FOR: soprano sax and band (2017 NEW EDITION), soprano sax and orchestra (2020) and soprano sax and piano reduction (2020).
