Aldo Rafael Forte is an internationally renowned composer with many published and recorded compositions to his credit. His works have been commissioned/performed/recorded on 5 continents by such ensembles as the Southwest German Radio Orchestra, Alabama Symphony, Bohuslav Martinu Orchestra (Zlin, Czech Republic), The Aulos Wind Symphony (Switzerland), Her Majesty's the Regimental Band of the Coldstream Guards (UK), and by many university bands including those of The University of Georgia, UNT Symphonic Band, Arizona State, Queensland Conservatory (Australia), Kansas State, Indiana University of Pennsylvania, among many others. Forte's music is recorded on over 40 CDs including on the Klavier, Deutsche Schallplatten Berlin, Polyphonic of the UK, and Naxos (Altissimo) labels among others.

Music highlights include several performances of his soprano saxophone concerto by the "President's Own" U.S. Marine Band, Col Timothy Foley, cond. and Irvin Peterson, sax, an all Forte concert at the Royal Conservatory of Music in The Hague, and a feature performance of his "Van Gogh Portraits" on the artiste's 150th birthday in Neunen, The Netherlands. Furthermore Linda Arnoldus (sax) and the Nationaal Jeugd Harmonie Orkest, Alex Schillings, conductor recorded his Soprano sax concerto and played it at the Schladming Mid Europe Band Festival. His "Dance Rhapsody for Tuba and Band" has been championed by, among others, Sam Pilafian, Andrew Rummel, Dan Davis, and Steven Maxwell. His music has also been performed by other pro musicians such as Peter Arnold (horn), Armin Terzer (horn), Das Rennquintett des Sudwestfunks, Metales M5, Best of Brass, and by many others. Conductors who have interpreted his music include Jose Rafael Pascual Vilaplana,  Guillermo Martinez Arana, Luis Orduna, Toni Scholl, Charles Olivieri Munroe, Amerigo Marino, Klaus Arp, Frank Tracz, Ricardo Bolos - Perez, and Dwight Satterwhite, among many others.

Recent performance highlights include the Tacoma Concert Band performance of "Northwest Passages" at the 2015 CIBM festival in Valencia, Spain, "Impressionist Prints" and DALI by Banda Municipal de Bilbao, Spain, (2015),  a stirring rendition of DALI by the Banda de Nuestra Señora del Carmen (Seville, Spain) and a Nov. 2018 rousing interpretation of "Van Gogh Portraits" by the Sociedad Artistico Musical de Castellnovo.  In August 2018 his brand new "Concierto Sinfónico para Metales" (commissioned by Armin Terzer and the Best of Brass) was premiered by the group and the Cairns Brass Band, Owen Clarke, Conductor in Cairns, Australia. Forte was also Composer in Residence at the Cairns Winter Brass Camp. The same work in an edition for orchestra and BQ was premiered in June 2019 by Best of Brass with the Rockhampton Symphony Orchestra of Australia. In 2018 the Tennessee Tech Tuba Ensemble performed a concert of his works and in March 2019 Dan Davis(tuba) and Paul Thurmond (piano) gave the world premiere of his "Dance Rhapsody for Tuba and Piano". Furthermore in April 2019 the International Symphony Orchestra of Sarnia, Ontario, Canada and Port Huron, Michigan gave two performances of his "Piezas Latino - Ibericas".

The Southwest German Radio Orchestra commissioned and recorded Forte's horn concerto (Peter Arnold, horn, Klaus Arp, Cond.) and his "Piezas Latino-Ibericas"  (Das Rennquintett) for CD release. The latter has received many performances in such diverse places as Australia, South Korea, Mexico, and the U.S.

In 2021 members of the German Wind Philharmonic played and recorded Forte's "Tableaux" (double quintet)  at a concert in Mannheim, Germany and susequently recorded the work for future CD release. 2022 was an exciting year with performances of my "Dance Rhapsody for Tuba and Band" (Dan Davis, tuba and University of Southern Mississippi Wind Ensemble as well as the version with piano reduction in performance s by Dan Davis at two regional ITEA Conferences. Furthermore, the Banda Municipal de Musica, Vitoria Gasteiz under conductor Luis Orduna gave the world premiere of my "Sinfonia No. 1 for Band" to great acclaim in Vitoria Gasteiz, Basque country, Spain and trombonist Paul Hunt played "Pastiche - concerto dances for trombone and band" with the Kansas State University Symphonic Band, Frank Tracz, conducting. These are some of the many recent performance higfhlights. 2023 and 2024 performances thus far include the Chicago Wind Symphony's performance of "DALI" as well as a performanmce of "Dance Suite on Spanish and Latin Rhytms" by the Banda Municipal de Barcelona. Furthermore, The Tidewater Cello Ensemble of Williamsburg, VA premiered Forte's "Recollection and Caprice" under his direction in May 2023. Forte was the featured composer in residence at Kansas State University in April 2023.
