Welcome to ALDOFORTE.COM, the home page of composer Aldo Rafael Forte. Forte is an internationally renowned composer with many published and recorded works to his credit. Forte’s music appears regularly on programs across the United States and abroad. His works are recorded on over 35 CDs. He has 23 published compositions to his credit which appear in the catalogs of 9 publishers. Since 2000 his music has received over 300 performances. RECENT STUFF! Aldo Rafael Forte is now retired from the United States Air Force after 26 years on active duty as Composer/Arranger, his last assignment (16 years) having been with the USAF Heritage of America Band. He is now working as a freelance composer/arranger and is in his 14th year as Professor of Composition at Christopher Newport University in Newport News, VA. Forte is also active as a guest composer/conductor, clinician, and adjudicator. As always, he is available for commissions. Forte was awarded an ASCAP PLUS Award for the 2007-2008 academic year. My father, Dr. Aldo Forte, who passed away Nov. 20, 2007. He was Professor Emeritus of Mathematics at the University of Alabama in Huntsville as well as a very accomplished amateur classical guitarist and guitar maker. He is pictured here playing one of the guitars he crafted. |
